After 45 years breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, William and I have closed the breeding program. We placed the last of our dogs about a week ago. Due to our ages and various physical limitations, we decided that we could no longer continue. So, we closed the breeding program totally (as William had promised to do in 2022). It is with heavy hearts and many fond memories that we have made this decision. We got our first dog in 1976 and our first Cavalier in 1981. We have loved this breed for decades and greatly miss having them, but reality has to be faced. To finally be without a dog in the house is quite a change, but William and I promised each other to never be old people who refused to give up their dogs and ended up not being able to care for them. That happens all to often with people who have had dogs for decades.

To all those buyers who purchased our sweet Cavaliers, I say thank you. Thank you for enabling us to chase our dreams of breeding long-lived, healthy, beautiful Cavaliers.

All the best,

Susan Cochran
